We are too accustomed to the convenience. Comfortability keeps us stagnant, it keeps the status quo intact. “I would do this if it was at any other time” but that “other time” never comes. That’s the result of the deep rooted conditioning of our capitalist system. To keep you busy. To keep the various interval reward systems going so you can consistently do your part and business can go on as usual.

“It’s a marathon not a sprint” we say to each other as we justify not doing our part in fighting the fight from the most privileged position-the imperial core itself.

A gutting feeling of betrayal consumes me when I think ab how everything is conditional to so many. When suddenly it’s not convenient for them to stand up because they’re losing opportunities & realizing the struggle demands sacrifice from them–they cannot meet your eyes any longer.

What does it mean for people going through the harshest of realities to see martyrdom as the highest honor while those in the belly of the beast let respectability politics and comfortability keep them stagnant?

Hi Ankit, I am confused on what this comment is directed towards. “Comfortability” refers to the state of being comfortable.
